I will be adding more pages to the Concept 4 build to show the wood finishing along with polishing the parts. It has been a lot of work completing the rifles. Still need to source a second air tank and may even try an Air Force tank on it but will need to machine an adaptor.

Bear with me a few more weeks and I will get some pictures and web pages updated. Below are a few pictures of the wood so far, they are not stained it is a trick to see the grain and dries back to dull wood. It gives an idea how the finished wood will appear. Thanks for visiting.

Been working trying to complete my two airguns. Spent a few evenings and the Saturday two weeks ago making new valves and polishing up the aluminum and brass parts.

I had wanted to do a lot this last week but was out with the flu for most of it. Missed one day of work and suffered through the rest of it.

I machined the valves long ago and they never did seal properly with the design I used. Went back to a tapered design and now the valves seal really well. Valves hold air for a long time rather than only a day.

The grip was to thick and I ended up machining off a 1/4″ on the aluminum and thinning the grips to suit my hand. Could make the grip even smaller but want to start bigger and work my way down.

Hoping to do more sanding and do the rest of the wood work next week for the remaining rifle. Then try to finish the walnut with linseed oil, never used it before so will see how the wood will turn out. Hoping to have the rifles completed before summer starts.

Performed a chrony on the rifles and the design looks promising for .22 cal pellets. I need to tune them a little as they are very close to 500 FPS, and I think I can get 800 to 850 FPS out of them but will see what the 1400 PSI regulator allows. I may need to purchase the 2800 PSI regulator & tank combo. Having said that, I may or may not have to register the airguns with Fire Arms Canada pending on what happens to the long gun registry.

Heres a few pics… ~Pedro

Did some work on the grips these evening. Last week I made the aluminum handle a little thinner. Still have to do more filing to make it feel better in my hands. Airgun is fairly light and should be fun to shoot when complete.

Hello Everyone,

It has been awhile since I have posted an update.
Had some holidays back in December and travelled to Bolivia, South America. We stayed there for 33 days. First 15 days we spent with my wife’s family and the remaining time we were in the city of Santa Cruz.

We have been back for two month and hardly feels like we have been gone. Here are few pictures of the trip.

Some various pictures of the country side and some farms. We took a lot of pictures, 3400 in total. Most are meaningless as you can take so many with digital cameras.

The average temperature was 35 celsius. Humidity average is 75% and after a rain and the sun coming out, the humidity was overwhelming.

My agenda/goals for 2012:

1) Need to finish the “Concept 4″ Buckley inspired rifles before I start to many new projects.

2) Make the stock for the first “Modern Pneumatic Airgun” I built.

3) I am hoping to continue on the stainless 50 Cal barrels this year.

4) Build my own compressor or buy pending funds.

5) I want to work more with homemade pellets, see what will work best for my Condor.

Will see what the year has in store. Hoping to work less and do more shooting this summer. Thanks for reading -

Hello,
I created a site map so visitors can more easily find all the pages. I will edit the pages when I get a chance to.

http://www.airgundevelopment.com/sitemap.html
I have been working on the Concept 4 Buckley rifle. Modifying the trigger to work better. WIll post the results when I get a chance as I haven’t had time to complete the testing and appearence.

Haven’t done as much with my projects as I wanted to. A few things were planned for vacation and then were changed. I am heading to South America for the month of December.

I was hoping to find someone from Bolivia who is into airguns but haven’t been able to yet. Hopefully I get a chance to make contact with someone when there. To bad I don’t read or write Spanish otherwise I would post on a spanish website.

I may not get much chance to post more, leaving in 3 weeks. Would like to wish all the visitors to my site a good holiday season!
Thanks, Pedro

Awhile ago I was sent links by a builder showcasing his build on the Canadian Airgun Forum. It has been awhile since I was in the forum, but had a look and Mr. Sterne offered that I could post his content. He call his airgun a “Hayabusa”. Read the page to see why…

Here are a few pictures shooting the Airforce Condor at my brother in laws.

My brother in law has a nice few acres and lives a few miles from my work. So was nice to be able to go shooting using at his yard.

For winter I hope to finish the two “Concept 4″ air rifles. I have an idea for a 50 CAL but first I do need to build the 50 CAL barrels that have been sitting on the back burner for a long time.

I do hope to start posting a little more regularly in the next few weeks.

Thanks for reading.
