I was able to do more work on the rifles I am building this past Monday. I hope to do more later this week and will post the pictures I have taken at that time. I have mounted the valve body on the action block and now need to start on the inner workings of the action. The hammer, trigger, sear, bolt and valve parts need to built. Barrel is ready to be mounted and waiting till all parts are completed for firing before this is done. The tight fit between the barrel and action will help ensure accuracy and do not want to take out the barrel to often and ruin the fit.

Mr. Schaefer sent three more pictures of some changes he implemented to his side lever Buckler inspired rifle. An offset adaptor in the front allowed fora  600cc reservoir.  Schafer says he gets a lot of shots per fill.

Will try to get larger format pictures on Schaefer’s page 4 as soon as possible.

I am hoping to get going on more machining on the Concept 4 design. Possibly in the next two weeks might get some time, once the wedding anniversary is past.

I have been checking out the Russian airgun website and viewing the pictures. I thought I would share the link as there are lots of cool things the Russians are doing. I cut out the profile of the gun stock for the modern rifle I made. The walnut is sure a lot harder to cut than regular wood. I am by no means a wood worker so working with hardwood will be interesting. Over the next few weeks will be shaping it along with hopefully continuing on the Concept4 when time allows.

Modern Pneumatic, New Stock

Over the next few weeks I hope to make a new stock for the Modern Pneumatic Airgun I built a few years back. This past Saturday I finally picked up a chunk of walnut. Found a cutoff piece for $90. I traced out the old stock, with some lines from an airgun I have. I will eventually post the final stock on the site.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My garage.

I have started to buy a few tools for at home. I hope to eventually get a mill and lathe. I was able to get a decent drill press and 19 gallon compressor a few weeks ago. Next few weeks should hopefully see continued work on the Concept 4 rifle.
